Gartner includes ABACUS toolset in Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis

03-27-2015 07:22 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: Avolution

Avolution has been named a “Representative Vendor” in Gartner’s Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis*, launched this month.

Avolution’s ABACUS toolset is used by clients worldwide to improve business decision making helping them to identify, analyze, engineer, measure, review and maintain business processes.

The Guide provides a survey of the discipline of enterprise business process analysis: “business modeling aimed at transforming and improving business performance and business outcomes.

“This research describes the market, identifies use cases, and highlights some key vendors and their fit with common usage scenarios,” says Gartner.

Dr Tim O’Neill, founder of Avolution, said: “We’ve designed our ABACUS toolset to allow users to capture and import information about their business processes easily from existing data stored in Excel, Visio and other repositories. They can then manage and optimize their portfolio and provide rich, persuasive reports to the rest of the business.

“In ABACUS, users can perform successful business process analytics regardless of which meta-model or notation they select. To us, it’s the strength of the tool’s analytics capabilities once a user has captured the data and built their model which is key. ABACUS allows users to carry out analytics including impact analysis, identifying performance bottlenecks and ultimately planning entire future states.”
