Capacity and Power: The capacity of a vanadium flow battery is determined by the size of the electrolyte storage tanks, while the power output is determined by the size of the electrochemical cells and the rate at which the electrolyte flows through them.

One of the main advantages of vanadium flow batteries is their ability to decouple energy capacity and power output. This means that the battery's energy storage capacity can be increased independently of its power output, making them suitable for applications where a large amount of energy needs to be stored for a long duration.

Vanadium flow batteries also have a long cycle life, which means they can be charged and discharged many times without significant degradation. They are known for their excellent energy efficiency and can provide reliable and stable power output over an extended period.
