By type, the sensors is sub divided into industrial robots, collaborative robots, defense & military, agriculture, delivery & logistics, medical, domestic, entertainment, others. In 2023, domestic robots captured the highest share of 21%. Domestic robots will continue to dominate the market due to increasing demand of domestic robots for household chores, most domestic robots are simplistic, some are connected to Wi-Fi home networks or smart environments.

By sensors, the market is sub divided into force/torque sensors, vison sensors, photoelectric sensors, lidar/radar, ultrasonic sensor, capacitive/tactile skin sensor, altimeter sensor, pressure sensors. cliff sensors, IMU and others. In 2023, vision sensors capture the highest share of 43.4%. Navigation and mapping sensors play a crucial role in robotics by helping robots to navigate and map their surroundings accurately and efficiently. This enables robots to perform diverse tasks in different environments with greater precision.
