6 May 2023, Sikkim: Dr. Kuldeep Agarwal a distinguished and eminent Scholar, Speaker, and the Chairperson of the Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education gave an interview to the coveted BW Magazine where he shed light on the vision and mission of BOSSE. In this interview, he shed light on the significance of employment-oriented and skill-based education for the nation's youth thereby they can be employment creators and disseminate skills, attributes, and knowledge to the forthcoming generation. In addition, Mr. Agarwal shed light on the significance and the scope of open schooling education for the nation where there is plenty of opportunity for learners to pursue their passion in academics and extracurricular activities.
Mr. Agarwal shed light on the achievement of BOSSE and how the board is revolutionizing open schooling education through high-quality and holistic education while focusing on Indian knowledge system in the curriculum. He said that today students of BOSSE are cracking competitive examinations like NEET, JEE main and advanced and other competitive examinations. In addition, he also highlighted the skill-based programmes of BOSSE that is equipping learners with technical acumen and enabling them to find decent employment.

The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim, is an open schooling board that aims to cater to the varied academic needs of the divergent group of students up to pre-degree level including Secondary/Senior Secondary, skill and vocational education. BOSSE is open schooling education board in Sikkim, was established under Act No. 14 of 2020 of the Sikkim Legislative Assembly, passed on 21-09-2020, according to the Sikkim Act 2020 to promulgate and disseminate the open schooling education at state & national level.

BOSSE has been granted Equivalence by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) for purposes of Higher Education and Employment. This implies that BOSSE pass-outs are eligible to take admission in all Universities, Colleges, and Higher Education Institutes throughout the country as well as abroad.
