wiora Software creates new division called Q-Lympus for SQL Server Management Software

Landau, 12.10.2007 – wiora GmbH today founded a new division called Q-Lympus with the mission to focus on the development and marketing of the SQL Server management solution QL-Control (formerly known as „Caimit Olymp“). QL-Control (say: „Cool Control“) simplifies the adherence of external and internal compliance standards for SQL-Servers, which can be a headache for many IT departments due to the extensive rights that need to be assigned in order to perform simple management tasks.
QL-Control enables IT Managers to delegate simple administrative and control tasks to helpdesk workers without compromising security or granting access to confidential company data. QL-Control enables users to assign database access rights even without having those access rights themselves. This reduces the workload of expensive SQL specialists and delegation becomes standard. An Audit Trail function tracks and archives all changes satisfying even the strictest internal and external compliance regulations like SOX, Basel II and HIPAA. An integrated workflow automates the approval, assigning and removal of temporary access rights and tracks and archives all changes during the allotted time period.
Apart from better control through flexible access rights, QL-Control helps trouble shooting in case of problem incidents or fallouts, as it stores all configuration settings for managed SQL servers.
