John Hamilton, President & CEO Liberation Programs
NIDA is the lead federal agency supporting scientific research on drug use and addiction. The NIDA Clinical Trails Network "provides an enterprise in which NIDA, treatment researchers, and community-based service providers work toward new treatment options in community-level clinical practice".
CIRCL consists of 6 individuals representing different geographic areas with an aim to inform the research agenda and discuss the state of drug addiction, treatment, and prevention across the nation. John and his fellow CIRCL representatives will give a voice to broader community perspectives, inform CTN of timely and significant issues, identify gaps in research and implementation, and participate in multi-directional information sharing.
"I am honored to represent Liberation Programs, Harvard, and Yale in the New England Consortium to help prioritize NIDA's real world research to save more lives during this Fentanyl epidemic", says John Hamilton of his appointment to this council.
