Versatility reigns with The Fine Cotton Company's new washable throws

Leading residential (and commercial) textiles specialist The Fine Cotton Company has designed and curated washable throws in six distinctive colours for the new Lisbon Cotton Herringbone Blanket and Throw Collection, providing an easy cleaning option for homeowners. The Lisbon Cotton collection has also been meticulously designed to be super-soft in an elegant herringbone pattern, which makes it fit for a king, with the coronation on the horizon.

This new collection can create a luxurious layered look on beds in luxury master bedrooms and guest rooms, with a range of sizes from standard to extra-large. However, this new style is so versatile, it lends itself just as well as a cosy blanket to complement garden seating and even for picnics in the standard 130 x 180cm size, with the option of a leather carry strap.

The Fine Cotton Company's director Jane Robson explains: "Woven and produced in Portugal, our new Lisbon collection is sustainably sourced and it features a 100% cotton, classic herringbone weave with a luxurious brushed finish. Meticulous attention has been paid to every detail to ensure this throw is ultra-durable, yet super-soft, and can withstand regular machine-washing and tumble-drying, for a quick, easy solution for busy households.

The Lisbon collection features a turned stitched hem or a blanket-stitched edge, which makes it suitable for laundering at 30 degrees or professional dry-cleaning. You can choose from six colours - Grey/Ivory, Charcoal Grey, Fern Green/Ivory, Marine Blue, Navy/Ivory and Red/Ivory - with more on-trend shades, including Pale Pink and Olive Green, due to launch later this year. Sizes vary - 130 x 1180cm for a single bed throw/outdoor blanket, 130 x 24ocm for a double/king bed throw and 130 x 270cm for a king/super king bed throw.

Jane adds: "Full-size blankets (260 sq cm) are also available and we even make scatter cushions and bespoke colours to help you achieve the coordinated, individual look you require for a practical, unique design aesthetic for your home."

Other washable throw collections from The Fine Cotton Company include the Madison Cotton Throw in 100% cotton matelasse, priced from £120, with a beautiful, textured finish and four soothing shades to choose from - Pink, Mushroom, Grey/Ivory and Blue/Ivory. The Portofino Cotton Waffle Blankets & Throws, priced from £90, is another textured washable collection in the classic waffle style, which features eight different colours including Latte, Dusty Pink, Mustard and Dark Blue.
