Unraveling the Mystery of Biorhythm Cycles and Pseudoscience (Impacts on Human Beings from Planetary Revolutions)

Independent researcher Chiharu Matsushima has revealed the long-standing mysteries of biorhythm cycles and the pseudoscience surrounding them, which gained worldwide popularity as a trend in the 1960s to 1980s, particularly in Japan and the United States. Matsushima's research suggests that the physical, emotional, and intellectual states of human beings may be influenced by the revolution of planets.

Biorhythm cycles and heliocentric astrology, based on the revolution of planets, show striking similarities in terms of cycles, corresponding elements, and positive/negative predictions, as demonstrated in the table below:

Note: Astrology uses negative angles of 180 degrees and 90 degrees (1/2 and 1/4 of 360 degrees according to Ptolemy), 45 degrees and 135 degrees (1/8 and 3/8 of 360 degrees according to Kepler). These are all odd multiples of 360 degrees/(powers of 2). For Earth, additional angles of 1, 3 ,5 ,7/16 of 360 degrees are used, which is one more power of 2.

Even if considered pseudoscience, the fact that two independent methods of prediction show striking similarities implies the scientific significance of these predictions. If this similarity is not mere coincidence, the following considerations can be made:

1. Human beings on Earth may be influenced by the revolution of planets, with biorhythm representing the temporal aspect and heliocentric astrology representing the spatial aspect.
2. Since the revolution period of planets cannot be changed, there may be subtle errors in biorhythm cycles.
3. Although biorhythm was initially supported by many prominent scholars, it later lost credibility due to lack of scientific evidence. This may be due to the cycle period errors. Further research is needed to explore the underlying mechanisms of these observed similarities and their implications for human beings.

Chiharu Matsushima's research provides new insights into the relationship between biorhythm cycles, planetary revolutions, and pseudoscience. This breakthrough may open up new avenues for understanding the effects of planetary influences on human beings and stimulate further research in this field.

This similarity has not been clarified until now probably because the cycles of biorhythms were assumed to be integer numbers of days, the geocentric astrology was mainly used, and astrology does not have additional angles, which is one more power of 2.

A prediction method that integrates period-corrected biorhythms and extended heliocentric astrology is being explored for commercialization and has a patent application.
