This is the story of a young man from the neighborhood who became an actor who brought today's young people to the big screen.

Said William Legue, is a Swedish actor, born and raised in Gothenburg in poverty in an undesirable "district". After becoming a very successful actor, with roles in Netflix series both artistic and non-artistic, Snabba Cash and Caliphat, Said created 'Min Ort' and dedicated himself to empowering young people who are in desperate need of help and a role model positive; someone who understands them.

Awarded in Cannes, at the Orion Stars Award in 2022, as "Best Actor", he combines his film activity with his project to support young people in his hometown.

Today, we want to tell you the story of this project, "Min Ort".

What is "Min Ort"?

It is the story of an organization dedicated to inspiring gang members and troublemakers to change their ways and become leaders in their neighborhoods.

The project is made up of a team of like-minded people working with Legue to touch the hearts and change the lives of young people living in the worst possible environments. He and his team wish to expand "Min Ort" into every undesirable neighborhood in every nation. This is their dream.

The project enjoys the collaboration of the Global Prosperity and Peace Initiative and numerous partners around the world.

Said, you went from actor to producer, how did this change happen?

I was born in Gothenburg to immigrant parents, I have Moroccan origins, I grew up living in the neighborhood but with the possibility of growing and building my future, I won't hide it. It was tiring, the values transmitted by my family and education led me to reach my work goals, I decided looking around, to pass on these values to the young people of my hometown using the experience gained in my career.

Do you think this film initiative can be revived in other countries?

Neighborhood reality exists in all world cities, especially nowadays, where the internet offers a distorted reality, which is transmitted negatively to young people who, in order to copy their idols, find themselves living lives of hardship and crime.

We are working on the project, the goal is to reach a worldwide production partnership in order to give life to new film productions, the desire is to be able for now, to give life to films starring local kids, in Italy, France and Spain where the reality of the suburbs is deeply felt, see Naples, Paris or Barcelona as an example.

Are you working on a film project as an actor at the moment?

To date, I am evaluating scripts for roles I have received and working on a series that will be released soon, we are close to the Cannes Film Festival, let's say it is a very hectic period, but I am happy with it, I like what I do.

So we just have to wait and see how this project and the stories of these young people will also arrive here in our beautiful country.
