In coming years, Government around the world are working towards achieving sustainable energy goals, with many, countries setting targets for green hydrogen till 2050. In Europe, there is push towards green hydrogen production targets to fill the energy supply gap amid Russia-Ukraine crisis. As per recent announcements, EU has set its aim to produce 10,000 kilo ton of renewable fuels including hydrogen and ammonia by 2030. To encourage domestic production, the EU plans to subsidize the production of green hydrogen by offering a fixed premium of €4 per Kg in the first auction. This effort reflects the ambitions of developed economies to address energy challenges sustainably.
The green hydrogen market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by research efforts aimed at improving electrolyser efficiency and reducing costs. Various renewable sources of energy are being used in combination to increase the production of green hydrogen along with reduced cost.
