Techno Brain West Blue (TBWB) is proud to congratulate Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for bagging two honours at Nigeria's NITDA-Nihilent e-Governance Awards. “NITDA-Nihilent e-Governance Awards” is a collaboration between NITDA and Nihilent to recognize and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance and ICT initiatives.
"I congratulate the Comptroller General of Customs for his vision, leadership and tenacity and the management and staff of NCS on receiving such high honours from NITDA, the foremost authority for IT in Nigeria. Techno Brain West Blue is proud to be a part of this transformation agenda and wish to appreciate the CGC Abdullahi Dikko Inde and the management team of NCS for being part of this winning concept, which has become a reference point for other countries seeking to improve trade processes and achieve world-class status." said Valentina Mintah, CEO, Techno Brain WestBlue
The Nigeria Trade Hub (NTH), which won in the Best Web Portal Category, is a trader's introduction to international trade in Nigeria. The portal provides importers/exporters, the correct information to enable them make decisions about doing business in Nigeria. NTH provides information about all the Nigerian Regulatory Agencies, their contact details, processes, documents, fees and processing times that an importer or exporter will need to liaise with to obtain the necessary import permits and certificates that are required to ensure compliance.
Other initiatives including the blueprint and roadmap for a single window environment, and the streamlining of Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) system to facilitate trade were recognized, and awarded the Runner-up in the Best MDA (Federal Ministries, Agencies and Departments) Category.
Speaking after receiving the awards, Adewale Adeniyi the Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Customs, said "We are extremely proud to have won these two honours. The honours once again vindicate our modernization and capacity building efforts, and recognize our long-term vision and hard work. In all of these revolutionary changes and achievements till date, we recognize the contribution, support and motivation received so far from Techno Brain West Blue Nigeria Limited as our ICT Partner of these modernization programmes. The e-Governance awards are testament to the quality of service TBWB have rendered. We are confident that the systems we are laying down will provide the basis for other MDAs and systems to integrate seamlessly into a Nigerian wide Trade eco‐system."
Nihilent and NITDA work together in designing a comprehensive evaluation framework for the awards. The final results were arrived at after the assessment process was concluded following an exhaustive jury consultation process. The awards will be handed out during the 3-day e-Nigeria Conference between November 18 and 20.
