The cost of this procedure could be kept as low as 2.5 lakhs when the indigenously produced beads are used. Normally such a procedure would not cost less than 10 lakhs , if the medicine were imported.

Ajith Shinto and Kuruvilla Varkey, the interventional radiology team of Drs. Aswin Ramachandran and Abdunnisar, assisted by the gastroenterology team of Drs. Biggs Saravanan and Anoop C Haridas and the gastrosurgeon Dr Murali Appukuttan.
