Educational Conference Specifically for Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineers to be Held Early 2015

Packaging engineers in the pharmaceutical space now have the opportunity to discuss the latest trends in primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, sustainability, globalization and much more at the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Package Design and Engineering Conference, January 29-30, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The conference will host executive leaders from small, medium, and large pharmaceutical organizations and open the floor to discussion of the most top-of-mind issues and concerns.

A wide variety of session topics focusing on the most relevant items including the evolution of packaging requirements, prevention of counterfeit products, augmenting patient compliance, and streamlining the package development processes will be led by some of the biggest names in the industry. More than a dozen distinguished presenters will be on hand to lead sessions, panels and case studies, including Walter Berghahn of HCPC, Reid Graves of Pfizer, Philip Dahlin of Johnson & Johnson, and Kelley Frank of Johnson & Johnson.

During the conference, interactive case studies will be presented by companies who have seen success in various areas of pharmaceutical packaging. Arun Madanagopal of ThermoFisher Scientific will lead a case study on the ever-increasing need for cold-chain packaging and best practices for minimizing costs, implementing new materials and designs, and ensuring product safety. Jan Gates of the Institute of Packaging Professionals will offer her insight on tertiary packaging testing and how it pertains to ensuring product safety during transport.
