Laboratory Testing Inc. Participated in “Feed My Starving Children” Event

HATFIELD, PA, October 31, 2014 – Employees of Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), an accredited materials testing and calibration company, pulled together to help fight children’s hunger. On October 25, 2014, LTI participated in the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) Mobile Pack Event held at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA. The company, along with the support of generous community members and other businesses, helped pack 272,160 meals that will be provided to children of West Africa in need of food. In addition to the time and labor volunteered at the FMSC event, Laboratory Testing Inc. and the employees also donated 1,200 lbs. of food to the pantries of the Bucks County Housing Group.

“It’s so important for businesses to participate in events that impact the lives of others in a positive way”, said Mike McVaugh, President of LTI. “We are proud to be able to make a difference to the children of West Africa and needy people in our own communities.”

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization that helps feed children all around the world, shipping hand-packed meals to nearly seventy countries. FMSC was founded in 1987 by Minnesota businessman Richard Proudfit. Since then, the company has produced over 850 million meals and expanded to seven locations in the USA. More than 99.96% of the meals arrive safely at their destination.

MobilePack meals were designed by Feed My Starving Children to reverse and prevent malnutrition, and include the institution’s specially developed MannaPack Rice, a fortified rice soy casserole.
