Press release from: DASGIP AG

/ PR Agency: Biotech Consulting
Juelich, 4th October 2007. DASGIP AG, leading manufacturer of parallel bioreactor systems, will present a number of innovations at their booth during Biotechnica in Hanover.
OD4, an online monitoring module for optical density, offers fast and accurate measurement of biomass and cell growth in up to four vessels. OD4 utilizes small sensors and a proprietary signal processing algorithm to reduce the signal disturbance caused by gas bubbles in the media. These features make the OD4 module the best OD measurement solution for small scale operation.
DASGIP’s new software edition, DASGIP Control 4.0, offers freely programmable profiles in a very user-friendly operator interface, which makes working with the DASGIP system easier than ever. Other expanded automation features such as the “Triggering Automation Package“ and the parallel operation of up to 16 vessels, can enhance the efficiency of any laboratory.DASGIP’s advanced gassing solutions have two new additions of mass flow controlled systems: MX4/1 system mixes oxygen, air, carbon dioxide and nitrogen and supplies to one output; while MF4 mixes four freely selectable input gases and supplies to four outlets. Both gassing systems provide safe and efficient gassing to pilot scale production and, with the use of external pressure sensors, can be used with cell culture bags.DASGIP has also developed a new fermentation system especially for anaerobic micro-organisms. Providing monitoring and control of the redox potential as well as temperature control up to 95°C the system has been designed to meet special requirements in biofuel development.
