RoamEO GPS Tracking and Containment System For Pets

Real time tracking system that can contain pets in a custom user defined boundary, and track for up to a mile away should the pet escape.

Punta Gorda, Florida 10/4/2007 — White Bear Technologies in co-operation with Essential Pet Products introduces the RoamEO to the pet containment and tracking industry. The RoamEO is unique to the market as it is the only system that not only tracks pest in real time with a full color handheld LCD screen, it also offers a user created GPS containment boundary. The RoamEO does not require any ongoing fees for its use, and does not rely on cell phone towers and coverage to update and track.

This user created GPS boundary is shown in real time on the hand held unit. By attaching a collar to the pet, the user receives real time updates showing:

1) The current position of the pet in the containment area
2) The direction of travel
3) The speed of travel
4) Last known position should they travel beyond the limits of the system
5) On Screen representation of the home base and custom set boundary
6) Battery status for both the collar and the hand held unit
7) Longitude, Latitude, and Altitude
8) Adjustable Zoom. Zoom in as close as 50 feet or as far out as 7,500 feet
9) Current accuracy in feet of GPS co-ordinates
10) The Current Satellites the system has contact with, and signal strength

The unit will also send an audible alert to the hand held base unit whenever any pet wearing one of the collars or belts exits this boundary. This feature, with proper training, enables owners to train their pets to remain in a yard without the use of a shock collar. It will also give owners the piece of mind knowing that any time the pet leaves the boundary they will be alerted, allowing the user to immediately respond and bring their pet home safely.

This product will be officially unveiled September 18th – 20th at the SuperZoo in Las Vegas, September 15th – 18th at the PIJAC show in Toronto Canada, and October 12th – 14th at the HH Backer show in Chicago.
