► Increasing Investments: According to reports, Sony intends to raise funding for its Chinese game incubation company, "China Hero Project," which supports emerging game developers. ► Increasing Mini- Games: WeChat mini-games have been popular since 2017, and Tiao yi tiao was one of the first to go viral. These mini-games were being played by 500 million active WeChat users per month by 2020. They are popular because they are low-skill, easy to play, and readily accessible as they can be played in-app. These mini-games are also lightweight, with the whole package not even exceeding 4MB.
