RICHER COMPONENTS UPDATES BOTH COMPONENTS AND CORPORATE MODEL
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich.—Jan. 12, 2006—Richer Components, a company that offers developer components for the Microsoft ASP.NET platform, today announced they have recently updated each of their components. The company also announced their plans to offer these components under a subscription model during the coming year. The component updates include full support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, and most have additional features added to improve their usability for developers.“We’ve moved to a whole new model for customer service in the past few months,” says A.M. (Kevin) Khan, a Richer Components spokesperson. “Our goal is to be known as the company that listens to ASP.NET developers, and these updates are just part of the changes that will be seen over the next year.”
Khan attributes recent company growth to its providing improved support and regular product updates. In addition, the company has conducted recent polls of the developer community which resulted in their creating additional components based upon the feedback received. ASP.NET developers are encouraged to become beta testers for new components prior to release, and the company has become more responsive to feedback.
Khan said, “Improved customer service has become a primary goal for Richer Components. For instance, we will soon be moving soon to a subscription model, since it allows developers to ‘try out’ a new component for a small fee, and see if they like it, instead of committing to purchasing the full license.” He anticipates the release of several new components over the next few months, including one based on AJAX technology that allows developers to support live help on a website.
