Announcing the 2023 Exception Fest Short Film Festival.

New York, NY - Exception Film Festival, a new event aimed at elevating talented filmmakers from all over the globe, has been officially launched. The festival's mission is to provide a platform for filmmakers who have created exceptional films, regardless of their circumstances.

The festival was founded by two experienced filmmakers, Lakeisha Jackson and Shakesha Williams, both of whom have extensive experience in the film industry. Jackson is the President and Founder of Golden Hour Films and has worked as a director, writer, and producer. Williams is the founder of Harlem Fusion Studios and has also worked as a writer, producer, and director.

"Our goal with Exception Film Festival is to give filmmakers a platform to showcase their work to new and eager audiences," said Jackson. "We want to celebrate the dreamers who put their goals and actions into place and produced the best product, regardless of their circumstances."

The festival aims to attract both established and up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world, and to provide a platform for their work to be recognized and celebrated. "We want to see the exceptions to the rule," added Williams. "We believe that there are talented filmmakers out there who are producing exceptional work, and we want to give them a chance to shine."

Exception Film Festival will feature a wide range of film genres and styles, with a focus on highlighting exceptional talent and innovative storytelling. The festival will also include workshops, panel discussions, and other events aimed at bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts.

The inaugural Exception Film Festival is set to take place in Atlanta, GA November 17th 2023, and submissions are being accepted via Film Freeway starting March 6, 2023. Filmmakers interested in submitting their work can do so through the festival's website.
