Direct Digital Synthesizer Market is Estimated to Reach USD 1,032.53 Million by the end of 2029: Cognitive Market Research

Market Overview:
DDS is a type of frequency synthesizer that generates arbitrary waveforms from a single, fixed frequency reference clock. There are two different forms of direct digital synthesizers, including waveform generators and impedance calculators. DDS is used in function generators, mixers, modulators, sound synthesizers, local oscillators in communication systems, and as part of digital phase-locked loops. It is therefore frequently utilized in the fields of aerospace, communication, energy, automotive, and others.
Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) directly creates the waveform from a digital map of the waveform stored in memory, which differs from the more typical indirect frequency synthesis approaches employing PLLs. A direct digital synthesizer works by digitally storing the waveform's points and then retrieving them to create the waveform. The frequency is then determined by how quickly the synthesizer completes one waveform.
There are currently DDS devices on the market that can generate frequencies between 1 Hz and 400 MHz (based on a 1-GHz clock). The advantages of DDS devices' cheap cost, low power consumption, and single tiny container, along with their high performance by nature and the capability to digitally program (and reprogram) the output waveform, make them a very attractive option.

Market Insight:
• Global Direct Digital Synthesizer Market is expected to reach USD 1,032.53 Million by the end of 2029, growing at a CAGR of 6.44% between 2022 and 2029.
• Waveform Generator Revenue is estimated to reach at USD 591.34 Million in 2029

Market segmentation:
Type:
• Waveform Generator
The direct digital synthesis (DDS) technique creates an analog waveform typically a sine wave by first creating a time-varying digital signal and then converting it from digital to analog. Usage of a DDS as a programmable waveform generator is common in both industrial and biomedical applications.

• Impedance Calculator
DDS enables quick frequency modifications in real time to find resonance frequencies. With the help of this application, DDS in adjustable frequency sources helps to measure impedance for instance, in an impedance-based sensor and investigate attenuation in LANs and telephone lines. It determines the characteristic impedance of the traces using a coated microstrip model.

Application:
• Aerospace
Using GaAs technology, a direct digital synthesizer system was created and certified for use in space applications. In-depth testing revealed that the DDS system is dependable, surpasses all system criteria for which it was developed, and can last in space. The flight termination system of aircraft uses direct digital synthesis, where the signal is produced in an FPGA using the direct digital synthesis (DDS) approach. Additionally, it serves as the real direct digital synthesizer flight hardware for the MSX mission flight.

• Communication
DDS is an excellent tool for digital techniques use in instrumentation and communication systems that can generate numerous frequencies from sources of reference frequencies. DDS is used in communication methods like spread spectrum frequency hopping because it can alter the output frequency rapidly and precisely

• Biomedical
In microbiology investigations, the dielectrophoresis phenomenon is used to separate, move, and rotate individual cells or bacteria in a polarized solution using non-uniform traveling fields. This is usually done under a microscope. Microelectrodes that are activated by coordinated signals from two DDSs produce traveling waves.
