December 1 Set for Minden's Santa Claus Parade

Make it Minden on Saturday, December 1 for the annual Santa Claus Parade. Working with local businesses and organizations, the Township is planning several festive events over that weekend including lighting the Christmas tree in the Village Green, as well as Holiday-themed contests and performances.

Rick Cox, Director of Community Services, is looking forward to organizing the series of family activities. "Several parade participants have already committed, and with a Parade Theme of 'Christmas on the Farm' we should have a lot of fun," said Cox. "We'll have prizes and activities, and of course a special visitor from the North Pole."

Businesses and organizations planning to enter a float in the parade should contact the Township to register by calling 705-286-1260 ext. 220. Volunteers willing to help with the parade and other festive activities are also needed. Call now if you're able to help!
