The light hits the silicon layer directly without interference, which improves low light sensitivity, optimizes light absorption and this technology creates powerful pixel for use in varied CMOS image sensor applications. BSI sensor and its process technology falls under category of camera chip sensor. The advantages of BSI technology sensor include increased sensitivity per unit area and provides improved quantum efficiency. BSI technology accommodates larger aperture size that allows for lower camera lens f stops.
