New Express Interface for Shippers: AX4 offers central Platform for connecting CEP Providers

Companies shipping their urgent and time-sensitive shipments via various courier and express providers can now do so online through the central logistics IT platform AX4 and manage them in the shipment’s further progress.

With the new service AXIT integrates leading CEP providers (Courier, Express, Parcel) and simplifies the shipping of parcel and express shipments for customers from industry and trade. Currently FedEx, TNT and DPD are connected to the new and central CEP solution of the logistics IT platform AX4. Further providers will follow.

“Express customers no longer need to log into the respective CEP providers’ individual IT systems or program complex direct connections, but they can transmit their shipments through a central AX4 access to the different CEP providers”, Magdalina Stavreva, product manager at AXIT, explains the principle of integration. With more than 150,000 users AX4 is the leading logistics IT platform in Europe.

AX4 offers a central CEP solution where the connection between the respective CEP provider and AX4 is already implemented. The connection includes the transmission of shipment data, its validation, the creation of barcode labels and transmission of tracking data.

Besides, the use of the CEP functions through AX4’s cloud-based CEP services results in clear cost advantages for shippers. Customers can access pre-defined CEP connections without having to program these by themselves in complex projects.
