Sixth Annual Diagnostic Coverage and Reimbursement Conference Set for December 2014

For the sixth straight year, Q1 Productions is hosting the Annual Diagnostic Coverage and Reimbursement Conference, bringing together managed care, reimbursement, and health economics executives to discuss the latest regulatory changes and coverage strategies within the diagnostic industry. The conference will take place December 8-9, 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts and is open to laboratories and diagnostic companies of all sizes.

At this year’s conference, speakers include experts from payer organizations, Accountable Care Organizations, diagnostic companies and laboratories, and legal institutions to provide insight into best strategies for adhering to the evolving payer landscape and integration of ACOs. A wide variety of topics will be addressed, such as FDA regulations for lab developed testing, pricing strategies in light of payment reform, and MoPath codes for next-generation sequencing. Among the more than two dozen speakers set to present sessions and panels this year are Michael Kolodziej of Aetna, Charles Stemple of Humana, and Neeraj Chopra of Siemens Healthcare.

This year’s conference also offers panel discussions that provide direct perspectives on some of the most timely issues within the diagnostic industry. An ACO roundtable, led by Joseph Rubino of BG Medicine, Robert Remstein of Capital Health System Hopewell Medical Center, and Sree Chaguturu of Partners Healthcare, will provide an in-depth and interactive look at the goals of ACOs as it relates to diagnostic tests, the impact on markets, best practices for accessing ACOs and building partnerships, and standards that ACOs use to make decisions. Attendees will also hear from Rina Wolf and Kyle Fetter of Xifin, and Brian Carey of Foley Hoag regarding the latest updates on the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014, as it relates to overall reporting implementation, execution, and long-term financial impact.
