Adhesive used to bind a substance and prevent separation between two materials is commonly referred to as a bioadhesive.
Glue is synthesized through the use of biological monomers (molecules used to chemically join two molecules to form a polymer), such as sugars, or through any synthetic material designed to adhere to biological tissue ( performing chemical reactions to produce a product).

The ability to create a strong link between two classes of materials, such as B. hard and soft materials that are different in size and have specific properties, distinguishes bio-adhesives from synthetic adhesives. The main materials used to make bioadhesives are proteins and carbohydrates. Starch and gelatin have historically been used by the general public as general purpose adhesives.
