ThinTech and Userful to offer entry-level VDI in the United

August 25, 2014 - Calgary, AB -- Userful Corporation, a leading desktop virtualization company, and Thin Technologies (ThinTech), an ICT wholesaler from Monterrey, Mexico, have entered into an agreement to provide entry-level desktop virtualization solutions throughout the United States and Mexico in markets including call centers and SMB with a focus on education.

ThinTech, also an NComputing reseller, has begun the switch to Userful due rising to demands for more cost effective and flexible desktop solutions. The all-in-one Userful VDI software appliance leverages zero client devices to replace physical PCs at a lower cost than traditional solutions. The unique architecture provides simplicity and performance, seamlessly delivering HD multimedia across a range of displays and operating environments. From a single Core i7 PC, it offers a simultaneous choice of operating systems including full Microsoft™ Windows desktops and a range of free, integrated desktops such as Chrome-based cloud-client, Linux, signage players and desktops delivered through Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

Unlike NComputing with its proprietary hardware, Userful VDI appliance software is compatible with a range of hardware options from global manufacturers like ViewSonic, HP, Acer, Atrust and Centerm. The broad compatibility makes it possible for ThinTech to create solutions for a variety of customers. Du Solier said that the Userful solution created more opportunities for ThinTech and provides customers with an overall better computing experience.

"With Userful, we can easily create a bundled solution for call centers and other market niches. With NComputing, we are very limited," Du Solier added. "Userful allows us to go to any customer with more options for zero client devices, and higher quality HD video multimedia."

The browser-managed solution also creates virtualization opportunities beyond desktops, powering interactive touch displays, digital signage and video walls.
