The World’s fastest Pasta-Chef is Swiss - World record Event on October 5th in Bangkok, Thailand

Marco Ragnacci, a Swiss with Italian roots will break his own last years Malaysian record and attempts for world record on coming October 5th 2007. Within eight hours, he will prepare at least 420 DIFFERENT pasta sauces and a total of approximately 2500 portions to serve.

The avails from pasta sales at this event will be donated to UNICEF.

Marco Ragnacci is a globetrotter and has gathered lots of international experience during his assignments in Europe, Americas and Asia. Over the years, he developed a repertoire of more than 700 own pasta-recipes, with flavours from all around the globe. With his events, he became one of the most popular European chefs in southeast-Asia. At the age of 12, he already decided to go for hotel and restaurant industry. Later, he became an alumni of the renowned Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and successfully manages a small restaurant with a unique concept in Rapperswil, Switzerland. Last year, he presented his first cook book „Pasta at Play“ in English language – the German version is about to follow in the coming weeks.

The event will take place in the premises of Central Food Hall of Central World Shopping Centre in Bangkok (Thailand). Central World www.centralworld.co.th/ is member of the Central Group, is a giant Shopping-mall and office-building in Bangkok city centre. With 550'000 square meters, it is the southeast-Asia’s biggest shopping centre.

In the course of the event, Marco Ragnacci will present his own brand and plans for restaurant chains to the public and press.
