The Essential Office, a virtual assistance practice, was established in December 2006 by its owner and Virtual Assistant, Davida Scretchings. Several experiences in Davida’s personal and professional life led her to a career in virtual assistance. After 14 years as an Executive Assistant in the corporate world, Davida was interested in taking her career in a new direction. She enlisted the help of a business and life coach and the support she received from her coach gave her the motivation to start her own VA practice. Davida’s experience working with her coach made such a positive impact on her, she decided to support coaches and other consultants that help people live beyond their dreams, and create the life they want to live. With her consulting background, Davida is highly effective at helping her clients deliver top-notch service for their clients and as a result, they have more time to build their businesses, spend more time with their family and friends and do the things they love to do. “Not many people enjoy doing administrative work, but I do,” says Davida. “It’s an opportunity to do work that creates value and helps people.”
