ProKNX Launches The First ChatGPT-Enabled Smart Speaker
Aragon2, enabled with ChatGPT
Along with the new feature to choose from a selection of wake-words, new developments on the device's hardware and software have positively impacted its performance speed and response sensitivity. The smart speaker uses machine learning and Natural Language Understanding to respond to phrases uttered in many different ways. To enhance the Aragon2 smart speaker, ProKNX has included the option for the assistant to work in an online mode. This is in order to access the extremely precise ChatGPT query platform run by OpenAI.
Aragon2 is a second-generation smart speaker developed from the original award-winning Aragon voice-controlled assistant that was launched at the beginning of 2020 by ProKNX. The initial smart speaker put out on the market was developed with privacy of data as its primary focus. The smart assistant works in an isolated network to control home automation devices such as lights, heating, and blinds without the need to connect to the external Internet. All analysis of speech and execution of commands are carried out on-device, ensuring the privacy of the user, and reliability of service. To augment the capacity of Aragon 2, the end-user can now make the choice of using the device in an isolated network for full privacy, or in a partially externally-connected mode to query ChatGPT.

The Aragon2 smart speaker with English-language capabilities will be launched at the end of January 2023. French- and German-language versions will be available for purchase from the end of March 2023.
