Press release from: Colorado Gay Rodeo Association

Denver, Colorado, October 12, 13, & 14, 2007 – The Colorado Gay Rodeo Association (CGRA) is excited to be the host for the International Gay Rodeo Finals & Royalty competition.
CGRA recently completed its successful 25th Annual Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo and will now be producing a second great rodeo event with the top cowboys and cowgirls from across the U.S. & Canada converging on the National Western Event Center to compete for top honors.
Rodeo contestants have been crisscrossing the country accumulating points at many of the 18 IGRA Rodeos held during the last year. The top 20 qualifiers in each event will perform during the exciting Finals Rodeo.
One foundation of International Gay Rodeo Associations (IGRA) is the opportunity for men and women to compete in all rodeo events; you’ll see adrenalin pumping. There’ll be bull & bronc riding, fantastic barrel racing and many other traditional rodeo events as well as some hilarious “camp” events designed specifically for the Gay Rodeo.
In conjunction with the intense rodeo action, IGRA will select the 2008 IGRA Royalty Team. These individuals will support the vision of IGRA through public appearances, fundraising, and community outreach. Competitors for these titles have spent the last year representing their local associations and completing community fundraising projects. The competition will be fierce as they take the stage at the Warwick Hotel’s Capital Ballroom modeling current Western wear styles, entertainment performances and the unpredictable onstage questions.
All proceeds from this year’s event will go to support the efforts of Howard Dental Center and the Northern Colorado PFLAG. Tickets are available online at www.igrafinalsrodeo.com or at the ticket window Saturday & Sunday.
