MONTREAL — April 22, 2014 — Matrox® Graphics Inc. and Matrox Video will be sharing booth N2247 at InfoComm 2014 (Las Vegas, June 18-20). Matrox Graphics Inc. will demonstrate the field-proven Mura™ MPX video wall controller boards, Maevex™ Full HD over IP H.264 encoders/decoders and zero-latency Avio™ fiber-optic KVM extenders. Matrox Video will showcase the award-winning Monarch HD™ video streaming and recording appliance and the VS4™ quad HD capture card for multi-camera recording and streaming.

Matrox Mura™ capture and display boards
Matrox Mura MPX Series capture and display boards feature flexible inputs and high-quality outputs allowing AV integrators, system builders and equipment manufacturers to easily and cost-effectively build high-density video wall controller systems supporting custom video walls of almost any size. Exceptional-quality scaling, switching, and compositing of source content including HDCP feeds are easily managed through intuitive software control options including Matrox MuraControl™, third-party software and simple integration with existing AV control systems. The recently released Matrox MuraControl 3.0 for Windows video wall management software will be demonstrated for the first time at InfoComm 2014. Mura capabilities will also be showcased through rich transitions and eye-catching effects applied to both recorded and live content using the latest Mura Network API—a platform that software developers have used to build their own powerful video wall control solutions for Mura-based video walls.

Matrox Maevex™ H.264 encoders/decoders
Matrox Maevex H.264 encoders and decoders deliver exceptional quality AV streaming at low bandwidth over standard IP networks for display or for storage anywhere on the LAN. Maevex encoders, priced at only $999 US (MSRP), can be combined with Maevex decoders or a third-party software decoder to stream up to Full HD digital signage, education and training materials, camera footage, desktop screen capture and other AV content to one or more displays and to collaborative video walls. New at InfoComm this year, Matrox will demonstrate how Maevex encoders can record live AV content to network-attached storage (NAS) or network-shared drives at resolutions up to 1080p60. The zero-latency pass through allows realtime monitoring or connection of another device to stream at the same time as recording. Maevex units come bundled with Matrox PowerStream™ software, allowing for easy remote device management, stream switching and streaming/recording parameter adjustment, including user-definable bitrates between 100Kbps and 25Mbps. An API is also available for software developers who want to add Maevex device control to third-party applications.

Matrox Avio™ KVM extenders
Matrox Avio F125 fiber-optic KVM extenders separate dual HD or single 4K Ultra HD video, keyboard, mouse, stereo analog audio and USB 2.0 devices from a computer, providing real-time control of high-performance workstations located up to 6 miles away. The transmitter/receiver pair extends two single-link DVI (2x1920x1200) or one dual-link DVI (2560x1600 or 4096x2160) video, and multiple high-speed USB 2.0 compliant devices from the host computer by up to 1312 ft (400 m) over multimode cable and 6.2 mi (10 km) over single-mode cable. Avio F125 stands out for its ability to transmit all signals with zero compression and zero latency on a single duplex LC-LC fiber-optic cable.

Matrox Monarch™ HD professional video streaming and recording appliance
Matrox Monarch HD is a small, easy-to-use H.264 encoder designed for professional video producers who need to simultaneously stream a live event and record a mastering-quality version for post-event editing. Priced at just $995 US, it provides these two independent modes in an integrated unit. From any HDMI input source such as a camera or switcher, Matrox Monarch HD generates an H.264-encoded stream compliant with RTSP or RTMP protocol. While encoding the video at bitrates suitable for live streaming, Matrox Monarch HD simultaneously records a high-quality MP4 or MOV file to an SD card, a USB drive, or a network-mapped drive. Matrox Monarch HD is remotely controlled using any computer or mobile device with a web browser. The new Monarch SDK, an HTTP-based API, includes documentation and sample code that let AV and broadcast equipment developers write applications to configure and control Monarch HD streaming capabilities, giving them a very straightforward way to include a high-quality webcasting service as part of their overall product offerings.

Matrox VS4 quad HD capture card for multi-camera recording and streaming
Matrox VS4 is a quad HD capture card that comes bundled with VS4Recorder™, a multi-camera recording app that gives live event producers complete synchronized control over capture of the four inputs connected to the VS4 to create high-quality MOV, MP4, or AVI files for use with popular editing apps, for immediate upload to the internet or for archiving. VS4 is also ideal for multi-camera live production streaming with Telestream Wirecast for Windows or StudioCoast vMix software. It not only sends video feeds for streaming, it also facilitates ISO recording to disk of all the original video and audio feeds for post event editing via a Matrox plug-in for Wirecast or Matrox Video for Windows (VfW) codecs for vMix MultiCoder software.
