FDM Group’s COO featured in ‘100 Women to Watch’ list 2014

Chief Operating Officer, Sheila Flavell of international IT services provider, FDM Group, has been listed as one of the top ‘100 Women to Watch 2014’ in the Female FTSE Report by the Cranfield School of Management.

The “100 Women to Watch” list was first introduced in the 2009 Female FTSE report and aims to encourage a sustained board, media and government focus on accelerating the representation of women in executive and non-executive roles. Flavell joins a number of women who are currently on the executive committees of FTSE listed companies and other major financial institutions.

Flavell, who spearheads FDM’s international expansion and global Women in IT campaign said, “I am honoured to be featured within this prestigious list alongside some of the most influential and talented female leaders in the country for the second-year running. Cranfield School of Management’s annual FTSE report is a fantastic publication which aims to support the representation of women in leadership positions.”

The ‘100 Women to Watch’ list is not an exhaustive or definitive list of the only talented women available for board positions; neither is it decided upon certain criteria. Its aim is to highlight the broad range of female talent available. According to the report: "These are just 100 of a substantial and ever-growing talent pool of women who search consultancies and nomination committees should be considering."

Flavell continues, “It is inspiring to see the number of female talent featured. I am extremely passionate about promoting gender diversity in the boardroom and encouraging more women to aspire into executive roles.”

As a result we have seen the percentage of female staff increase month-on-month to 25%.”
