A new cooperation for safe, flexible and border-crossing e-car charging
Kitzingen, 3 April 2014. The intelligent e-car charging boxes from Bavarian manufacturer BELECTRIC Drive are now part of the BMW i ChargeNow network. In the future, BMW i customers will be able to use their ChargeNow card to load up comfortably and cash-free at BELECTRIC Drive charging stations. In addition, e-fleet operators will profit from the diverse services provided by the innovative BELECTRIC charging management system.Greater convenience and simplicity for electric refueling are the top objectives of the cooperation between BELECTRIC Drive and BMW i. The online gathering of billing information and charging curves will allow for easy management and monitoring of the electric fleet. E-car drivers will be able to check in real time which charging boxes are available in their vicinity and thus enjoy an accessible and reliable charge experience.
The success of the transition to green mobility depends on both user friendliness and a comprehensive, border-crossing charging infrastructure. BELECTRIC offers an ever growing network of charging stations that meet high safety and quality standards. With the certification of the BELECTRIC Drive charging boxes, the BMW i ChargeNow network now extends to France.
“For businesses, administrations and municipal utility companies, the BELECTRIC Drive charging boxes will considerably facilitate the management of e-fleets and access to charging infrastructure,” explains Sebastian Bachmann, CEO of BELECTRIC Drive. “Our intelligent charging boxes simultaneously enable ChargeNow customers to maximize their own consumption and increase the solar energy in the e-cars; they thus represent a significant step forward on the road towards CO2-free mobility.”
The solution-oriented cooperation between mobility service providers and charging infrastructure providers is made possible by Hubject GmbH’s eRoaming platform.
