Kwiztopia 2022

Learning Matters Pvt. Ltd, an ed-tech organization from Bangalore, successfully organized "Kwiztopia 2022" - a premium quizzing event in Tirunelveli for schools across Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Nagercoil, and Kanyakumari. The fun-filled prelims were held on Saturday, Nov 12, 2022, at Hotel Aryaas, Tirunelveli, and the grand finale was held on Saturday, Nov 26, 2022, at Sri Ram Hotel, Tirunelveli.

150+ students from over 40 schools across the region participated in the exciting event during which their knowledge of s the English language, general knowledge, current affairs, sports, science, history, geography, and literature was tested through intelligent questions.

The prelims saw 120+ students, some nervous but most excited, who all settled in well once the event began, with the Learning Matters team ensuring the students were having a great time. First, there was a written round to determine which schools would go through to the quarterfinals. The schools that qualified went on to the four quarterfinalswhich decided who moved on to the grand finale.

And then came the grand finale, where 20 teams battled it out for the Kwiztopia glory! The honorable District Collector of Tirunelveli, Thiru Vishnu V, I.A.S, was the guest of honor for the grand finale. The collector, a great quiz enthusiast himself, was very impressed to see the number of girlsin the finale and shared his childhood experiences of winning and losing in quizzes The collector was thrilled to see a premium quiz event being held in the Tirunelveli region as he firmly believes that students learn very important life skills such as presence of mind and clarity of communication by participating in quizzes. The Learning Matters engaged the students, parents, teachers and principals with a series of language games that required them to think and speak fast. They also shared many tips and tricks to improve writing and speaking skills. The games saw the audience in splits and enjoying themselves thoroughly!

In what was a nail-biting final round, Sakthi Vinayakar Hindu Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Thoothukudi, emerged victorious to take the Kwiztopia glory to their school! Don Bosco Matric Higher Secondary School, Tirunelveli was the first runner-up and Muthamil Public School, Tirunelvelil was awarded as the second runner-up.

Kwiztopia 2020 was a grand success - a unique event that saw students, parents, teachers and school administrators coming together to applaud students and to learn many new things.
