Sew Cute is entered to win $18,000 Grand Prize and we need your votes to help us win.

Brampton, Ontario, September 13, 2007 – Sew Cute has put their name into the ring to win The SavvyMom Mompreneur of the Year Award, a readers’ choice contest designed to find Canada’s top Mompreneur. The winner will be announced in the fall, and will be rewarded with an $18,000 prize package of cash, business services and office equipment that was designed to help take that business to the next level. To vote for Sew Cute, visit: www.mompreneuraward.ca/MomBio.aspx?momID=588.

Sew Cute made its debut in January 2005 and the buzz has been growing ever since owner, Lucie Kroeplin, began embroidering her baby boy’s name and initials on clothing for her own son. “I wanted to celebrate having a son…after receiving many compliments from passersby, and making gifts that delighted family and friends, the idea for Sew Cute was born,” states Kroeplin.

Kroeplin says, “Being a Mompreneur is definitely not just about ‘making money’. There are two things that continually happen, and each are equally rewarding every time. One: the look on my customers' faces when they see their baby's name delicately embroidered on a bib or shirt. Two: hearing my customers say ‘Aww, that is ‘Sew Cute’!’...now, that's the biggest reward!”

As a Mompreneur of a young business, time and funding limitations present challenges. The prize would allow Ms. Kroeplin to work with the prize partners, Henderson Partners LLP, on the business plan and processes, and High View Communications, on the public relations plan, maximizing marketing opportunities and bringing Sew Cute into the retail market...all while putting smiles on many more Moms’ faces!

Mompreneurs® Still Going Strong - 10 Years and Counting
It was just over 10 years ago, in September of 1996, that authors Ellen Parlapiano and Patricia Cobe released their first Mompreneurs® book—catapulting work-at-home mothers into the spotlight, and coining and trademarking the catchy word “mompreneurs” to describe entrepreneurial moms. As work-at-home moms themselves (both were home-based writers/consultants raising young children), Parlapiano and Cobe decided to pen the book when they couldn’t find anything on the market addressing the special
