Golden run for Asia's biggest health and fitness festival, powered by Indian Nutraceutical Brand

The Amateur Olympia, India's biggest bodybuilding tournament for amateur athletes, concluded in Mumbai on October 29. India's leading nutraceutical brand Steadfast Nutrition was the presenting partner for the three-day championship, held at the International Health, Sports and Fitness Festival (IHFF)- Asia's biggest health, sports, and fitness festival. Steadfast also sponsored a Pro Show at the IHFF, a milestone in the history of India.

The Steadfast Nutrition Pro Show finale was held on October 30. Four winners were declared. Participants won a direct entry to Mr Olympia- the world's ultimate championship for bodybuilding athletes.
Elizaveta Dementeva, a bikini bodybuilding athlete from Russia, won the Women's Bikini division; Bhuwan Chauhan, an engineer from India, won the Men's Physique division; Hameed Juma Ebrahim, a personal trainer from Bahrain, won the 212 Men's Bodybuilding segment; while Abdullah Alsairafi, a coach from Kuwait, won the Classic Physique segment. 

The Amateur Olympia was the other highlight of the IHFF. The participants aimed to win a "pro card", the dream of every amateur bodybuilder since it enables them to compete in the professional circuit.

Twenty-four pro cards were given to the winners in their respective categories: Men's Bodybuilding, Men's Classic Physique, Men's Physique, Women's Figure, Women's Physique, Women's Bikini, Women's Fitness, and Women's Wellness.

This is the third time that Steadfast threw its weight behind the Amateur Olympia, organised under the aegis of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB), the governing body of bodybuilding and fitness across the world.

Only pro card holders or professional bodybuilders are eligible to compete in shows with huge prize money, popularly called pro shows.

After a win at an amateur bodybuilding event, the next step for an athlete is to compete in a pro show or a pro league championship, which gives them the perfect platform to excel in their field and a chance to earn prize money and endorsements.

Steadfast Nutrition, which believes in bringing more and more sports into the mainstream, has previously sponsored the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) championships at the fitness festival.

Five hundred fitness brands, including nutraceutical companies showcased their products at the expo. Over two lakh visitors attended the IHFF.
