ITC Systems hires new General Manager
Toronto, ON – January 16, 2013 – ITC Systems has opened the New Year with a bold new hire, appointing industry expert Chris Mitchele as the company’s General Manager. Company founder and CEO Campbell Richardson notes that Mr. Mitchele’s appointment sprang from a period of unparalleled growth at ITC Systems over the past two years.“We’ve been in the enviable position of having consistently increased our market share over the past year or two, and we had reached the point where more leadership was required so we could maintain our momentum,” Mr. Richardson says.
“Chris is an incredibly competent and versatile leader, and bringing him on board means I will be able to devote myself full time to the company’s strategic direction. This is going to be an exciting year for ITC Systems.”
ITC Systems provides card-based transaction control solutions to schools, libraries and other organizations in North America and around the world, and Mr. Richardson says that he’s excited about the new opportunities Mr. Mitchele’s efforts at the company will generate.
Mr. Mitchele has more than 10 years of progressive leadership experience at small businesses and large corporations, and he brings to his new position a strong expertise in the areas of change management, lean manufacturing, six sigma and business process improvement. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Queen’s University. He is also a member of the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). Mr. Mitchele is an active volunteer at the community level, sitting on boards of non-profit organizations. Prior to joining ITC Systems, he was Director of Analytics at BlackBerry, and his role at ITC Systems will be to ensure increasingly effective implementation of the company’s strategic plans in the areas of sales, operations and administration.
“I invite all members of the ITC Systems network to join me in welcoming Chris to our team,” Mr. Richardson says. “We’re all inspired by the strengths Chris brings to our company and we’re looking forward to the powerful integration of all our capabilities going forward.”
