FEMTURISTIC: FRAMING THE FUTURE OF WOMEN'S ART
NYC Arts Empire and Blue Gallery to host a COVID-safe, creative networking event, Art Exhibition and Designers Showcase on December 14-15, 2022, from 4-8 pm. Sixteen artists and five fashion designers have been selected to participate in Femturistic, a forward thinking event that focuses on technological advances and social change as they pertain to women's art forms. This two day event includes a futuristic themed light show, photo opportunities, an NFT Martketplace and light refreshments.
Opening Reception: December 14th, 5 pm
The following visual artists have been selected to participate in Femturistic:: EM Strides, Liz Marotti, Christina Teters, Loren Dann, Marta Eliza, Carol Scavotto, the Chalk Jungle, Robyn Ivy, Storm Ritter, M.C. Hewlett, Dorothy Krakauer, Nina Edwards, Melissa Schainker, Annette Back,Jodi Fritz and Christina Defazio.

Designer Showcase: December 14th, with 2 Runway walks at 6 pm and 7pm

About the Designers:
Doien Demi Couture: Designer Sam Lavey is committed to creating garments that are beautifully hand detailed with hallmark fit properties. Doien Couture textiles are composed of the utmost quality fibers designed by artisan mills all over the world. Garments are created in order to reduce waste as well as carbon foot-printing.

Mink Basket Couture: NYC mink design & re-sculpting. Pioneering the art of reinvention. All designs are exclusively handcrafted.

M.C. Hewlett: M.C. Hewlett is an NYC based abstract artist, trans activist, and kindness consultant, using art to inspire love and hope one canvas at a time. We are honored that she is launching her Brand and Accessories during the Femturistic Designer Showcase.

Jurjis Jarvis: A 4 time award-winning designer in ladies, men's fashions, day and evening wear since 1994. Featured in Bizarre Style, NY Fashion Week.
Storm Ritter Designs: Storm Ritter is an ambidextrous artist, fashion designer, and business owner of Storm Ritter, Inc. in Greenwich Village, NYC. Full time painter, she specializes in studio art, painted fashion, scenic/costume design, murals, visual marketing, and retail/e-commerce sales.
