Hillsides Charity Announces Holiday Toy Drive at 46 Local Starbucks

Residents throughout the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles County can help brighten a child’s holiday season by donating new, unwrapped gifts and toys at select local Starbucks stores. Beginning Thursday, December 5, 2013 Hillsides, a premier provider creating lasting change in the lives of children, youth and families in need, will be placing in-store donation bins at 46 local Starbucks.
“Working together with business partners gives us an opportunity to reach new audiences who may not know about the needs of those in their own community,” said Joseph M. Costa, the charity’s chief executive officer. “This effort will help raise awareness about the services and programs Hillsides offers to change the lives of children and families in crisis.”
Holiday gifts and toys can be delivered to select Starbucks locations beginning December 5. A complete list of participating Starbucks will be on our web page under the News tab.

Residential Treatment Services, which provide a safe and stable environment where children and youths, who cannot live at home, suffered trauma, or have severe emotional or behavioral challenges, can thrive.
Education Center, a therapeutic residential and day school that offers individualized education for students with social-emotional, learning and/or behavioral challenges for children in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Youth Moving On, which provides former foster youth affordable quality housing and numerous support services to help them become responsible, self-sufficient adults.
