The Snead course at The Greenbrier Sporting Club
Judged by real estate editor Scott Resch and a team of golf-industry insiders, The Greenbrier Sporting Club is lauded as "the address of choice in the Allegheny Mountains." According to Resch, the club's long list of private amenities and its association to the venerable Greenbrier resort, where club members have full privileges, "put the 6,500-acre, four-golf-course community on a higher level."
The article further calls out the club's newest amenities at the Summit Village, 3,300 feet up in the Allegheny Mountains above The Snead golf course. The Summit Lodge is wrapped with porches and houses a casual-dining restaurant, a bar, a lounge and a game room. Next to the lodge is the barn-styled activities center with an indoor basketball/volleyball court and an outdoor infinity pool.

The Greenbrier Sporting Club is a private, second-home community of 15 neighborhoods with unbridled access to the great outdoors. The Tom Fazio-designed golf course, The Snead, is par 71 and is 7,025 yards long. The equity-membership club also offers private amenities such as an equestrian center, an Eastern-inspired spa, a fitness center, two pools, and two restaurants. Member families enjoy guided sports and naturalist activities through the Outdoor Pursuits program, including fishing, shooting, hunting, hiking and biking. They also have full access to three championship golf courses and all of the amenities at the adjacent Greenbrier resort.
