"Fishing in Fall" - Merging photography and painting to a new art form.

"Fishing in Fall" - Merging photography and painting to a new art form.

Impressive art being as good as impressionists’ masterpieces but more contemporary, resistant to environmental effects and affordable – Marina Kaehne’s art can be brought under this heading.
The basis of Marina’s artwork are high resolution photos which she converts into impressionistic or hyper-realistic art. In other words, the artist from Berlin merges the world of photography and painting to a new form of art.

Hardly anyone can escape the fascination of impressionist masterpieces. Like no other style impressionism can evoke deep feelings and long-lasting impressions.

"I am fascinated by impressionist artwork and atmospheric motifs in contemporary lightness. Unfortunately, Old Masters are no longer around for commissioned work. Moreover, their works would hardly be affordable”, Marina regrets.

Marina’s pictures often shine in lucent colors. They are like cheerful and carefree walks in nature, just the way we want it to be. Her artwork draws the viewer directly to the scene and turns him into a participant. Whoever looks at her “Winter Boats” turns up his collar enjoying the low winter sun. When looking at her “Ionian Sea Sunset” you almost think you are on a Greek island surrounded by shady cypresses on a warm summer evening. And finally, you catch yourself mumbling `Good Fishing` when viewing Marina’s “Fishing in Autumn”.

Effortlessly, Marina’s artworks succeed in lifting our mood and solving everyday problems. Her pictures help us to relax and to find inner rest and balance which becomes more important in times that are moving continually faster. Moreover, her artworks can reactivate the need for experiencing nature.

On the one hand, this is due to the impressionist style. On the other hand, this effect is probably achieved by her artwork motifs. Mainly, her pictures show beautiful landscapes and scenarios to be anchored deeply in our subconscious as synonyms for nature, relaxing, silence and recreation.

Lakes and waters, often with boats are recurring motifs. Maybe, it is just because of her name – not only her first name but also her surname. The German word 'Kaehne' corresponds to the English word 'boats'.

Being almost as effective as a walk in nature, even more and more doctors discover Marina’s pictures as a new therapeutic approach. At present, it is considered to be proven that nature motifs can alleviate symptoms and support healing processes, e. g. in the case of heart diseases or high blood pressure. However, more and more psychologists and clinics for the treatment of burn-out and depressions are interested in her art.

Of course, the therapeutic effect can also be used at home as well as in the office, without a doctor's prescription.
“My artworks are ideal for a mental walk through nature, particularly, in places where we spend much time”, Marina emphasizes an important aspect. “But mostly, offices are equipped quite dreary.”

On her website at http://marina-kaehne.artistwebsites.com Marina presents 45 artworks. High-quality prints are available in many different formats and versions from $ 7.36.
