WATERLOO, Canada (October 15, 2013) – Virtek Vision International announced today their participation with Gebrüder Spiegel AG in hall 7, Gasparini stand 7515 at Blechexpo. Virtek will be presenting its LaserQC® Automatic Form Measurement (AFM) system and Iris™ SPS (Spatial Positioning System). The 11th International trade fair for sheet metal working will be held November 5 through 8 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.

With an evolution of more than 15 years and over 1000 systems installed worldwide, LaserQC is a family of rapid inspection systems that employs lasers to measure the accuracy of 2 dimensional and formed parts to very tight tolerances. Advantageous for sheet metal and other manufacturing environments to improve quality control and reduce waste, LaserQC's intuitive user-interface allows all cutting and punch machine operators to quickly become fully proficient in proofing their own parts, removing the QC bottleneck. The system is designed for First Article Inspection, Quality Reporting (SPC, ISO, Lean, etc.), Reverse Engineering and Automatic Form Measurement.

Iris SPS, a new breakthrough precision assembly system that automates and assists in the positioning and alignment of parts and sub-assemblies on large and/or complex base assemblies or surfaces, ensures products are manufactured as designed. It is advantageous for companies that manufacture heavy machinery, like earth moving equipment (excavators, mining trucks), locomotives, ships, pressure vessels and other large-scale products.

With 129 years of experience, Gebrüder Spiegel AG is a leading service provider in Switzerland for solutions for sheetmetal processing and represents Virtek and other reputable industry manufacturing brands including Gasparini, Euromac, RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH, Wemo and more. In their 500m2 showroom, Gebrüder Spiegel offers live machine demonstrations from a number of its suppliers, including the Virtek LaserQC AFM.
Ralph Beier, LaserQC and Iris Sales Manager EMEA for Virtek comments: “We are honoured to exhibit at Blechexpo with our agent Gebrüder Spiegel AG in the Gasparini stand. As a focused venue in sheet metal, Blechexpo combined with the welding component of Schweisstec is an ideal opportunity to exhibit our LaserQC Automatic Form Measurement and Iris SPS. Luigi Greco and the Gebrüder Spiegel team are a very reputable sales and service organization in Switzerland and have represented Virtek well in the Swiss market.”

The practical trade fair duo of Blechexpo and Schweisstec takes place on a two-year cycle in the state trade fair centre in Stuttgart (Landesmesse Stuttgart) and is the only event in the world that deals with the complementary technologies of sheet metal processing and joining technology.
