fluidOps Announces Data Management Solution for Fujitsu vShape

Walldorf, Germany – fluid Operations, leading provider of cloud and data management solutions based on semantic technologies, and Fujitsu, the leading Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) company, are collaborating to develop a joint solution which allows enterprises to transform legacy, silo-based IT environments into agile, automated infrastructures. The solution aims at providing unified application and service delivery and allowing for agile responses to rapidly changing business demands.
The joint solution is based on Fujitsu’s vShape® reference architectures and fluidOps’ eCloudManager, a flexible infrastructure and cloud monitoring, management and orchestration platform for complex, virtualized and physical enterprise environments.
Simplified Operations for IT Environments
The flexible and scalable vShape solution combines all aspects of a virtual environment, based on reliable technologies and best practice solutions, with simple implementation and operation. Fujitsu vShape reference architectures integrate the expertise and technologies of leading server, storage and network architectures: x86 servers from Fujitsu, storage systems from Fujitsu and NetApp, and switches from Brocade. They are validated using industry-leading hypervisors, like VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V. These complete, workload-optimized solutions are immediately ready to use, and enable companies to standardize their IT and accelerate projects tremendously.

fluidOps eCloudManager acts as a central monitoring and orchestration tool running on top of Fujitsu vShape and enables customers to automate IT and data management processes, integrate large amounts of data, and gain detailed insights into all aspects of their business. From an operational perspective, customers gain a complete real-time overview of all their IT and data resources, helping them maximize data value and cost effectiveness.

By integrating IT landscapes spread across different sites and different stand-alone applications, eCloudManager creates IT as a Service and makes all infrastructure resources, applications and services universally available. In addition, the new levels of automation enabled by eCloudManager will significantly reduce the amount of routine work that an organization’s IT department needs to do. This in turn gives them the opportunity to focus on more strategic tasks, such as building customized IT applications meeting specific customer requirements.

“Our customers want on-demand access to services, applications and data with minimal IT intervention. Fujitsu vShape significantly simplifies and speeds the deployment of virtualized and converged IT infrastructures. With the eCloudManager from fluidOps, customers can maximize the value out of the vShape solution as a key enabler for business”, commented Bernhard Brandwitte, Vice President Storage Business at Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

“We look forward to a successful and productive partnership with Fujitsu. eCloudManager was designed to simplify and automate daily IT operations and acts as the unified management platform across business and IT stacks. It is, therefore, the ideal complement for vShape reference architectures. The innovative solution combining vShape and eCloudManager will allow us to constantly meet rapidly changing market demands and always deliver the best possible value to our customers”, added Dr. Andreas Eberhart, Managing Director at fluid Operations.
