German Pure Hair Appointed Innovation Partner of Dr. James A. Harris

Frankfurt am Main, 1st October 2013: Because of his dedication, expertise and the excellent clinical results, the Cologne hair surgeon, Dr. Christian Schmitz, of "Pure Hair" was officially appointed Innovation Partner. How does the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method work?
The FUE method means that hair follicle units are harvested gently using a fine cannula and transplanted. Hair follicle units are the smallest possible hair groups which consist of one to up to four hairs. This harvesting technique does not require any scalpel and is thus also called minimally invasive. By placing tiny transplantation channels, hair follicles can be transplanted harmonically in the growth direction of the hair. This ensures a result with a natural look.
The FUE method also facilitates harvesting and transplantation of body hair such as e.g. chest hair. The transplantation of scalp is also not always required: transplantation of eyelashes or eyebrows is also possible.
The FUE method has the benefit that no elongated scars remain (there only remain hardly visible dot-like scars). Thus short hairstyles are still possible after the hair transplantation. Thanks to the FUE method, postoperative pain from wounds is reduced.
