k3 management partners „kicks off“ Innovations-Benchmarking-Programm at the „Production and Engineering Management“ conference in Triest

London, Wiesbaden, Madrid, 26th of September 2013. “Most companies know exactly how much they spend for their innovations, but know little about what comes out of their innovation pipeline.” That is how Professor Villmer, of the OWL University oAS, Lemgo, Germany, sums up the core problem most companies face today, when it comes to managing their R&D.

It is in response to this challenge that k3 management partners was proud to present “Innovation – Output” at this year’s Production & Engineering Management conference in, Trieste Italy. The study was developed in cooperation with Dr. Frank Josef Villmer.

This new innovation management methodology is built on “output logic” and is true to the old management principle “that you can’t manage what you don’t measure”. “Innovation – Output” provides transparency throughout the innovation process; a difficult task and the one of the reasons the study shows gaps in many organisations.

The Trieste conference marks the start of a broader innovation benchmarking initiative, lead by the Research & Development branch of k3’s competency centre. “We want to offer our clients practical tools they can apply and benefit from the experience of other’s to improve their own R&D processes” resumes Dr. Josef Glaß a managing director at k3 management partners.

The conference was established around the International Masters (Msc) Production & Engineering Management program of the University of Trieste and the University oAS, Lemgo, Germany. The objective of the conference is to promote the interaction between university research and industry.
