Emerge Hires Ori Zakin as New Chief Technology Officer and Opens International Office

(Dallas) September 18, 2013 – Emerge Clinical Decision Solutions, creator of premier cardiologic clinical decision support software, today announced Ori Zakin as the company’s new chief technology officer and the opening of a research and development office in Israel.

Emerge is a real time clinical decision support solution that helps doctors increase efficiency of patient care. By running comprehensive patient data through a patented algorithm, Emerge performs more than 8,000 calculations per second to generate a refined diagnosis suggestion. The software has been proven to increase identification of cardiac diseases by as much as 300 percent.

As chief technology officer, Zakin will head the new Israel office and be responsible for leading the company’s technological vision and strategy. In this role he will expand the company’s in-house research and development efforts as well as organize the IT infrastructure.

Prior to joining Emerge, Zakin worked for the Israeli government, where he held research and development team leader and group leader managing roles in the computer and security department. During this time Zakin honed expertise in system architecture, security, network protocols and designing and implementing complex high-performance systems.

Zakin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel.
