Safety - A Top Priority at Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah

Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah, the leading beach five star hotel in Sharjah organized “Hotel Fire Fighting and Fire Drill ” with Sharjah Civil Defence to make sure high standards of safety awareness and highly trained personnel are maintained and be ready to deal promptly with fire emergency situations.
The management team of Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah notified all guests of the routine exercise well in advance, so it does not cause any disturbance or inconvenience. The emergency response team evacuated all staff to the designated assembly point located next to the parking lot of the hotel. Every head of department performed a head count to make sure all employees were safe and accounted for.
Fire Drill is a part of Hotels’ commitment to the safety and security of its guests and is a continuous effort to ensure that it is in line with its goals on safety and security, especially in regards to the technical aspects and equipment. The chief engineer, Mr. Mohiy Sowilam who conducted the training, congratulated all staff for the successful training and encouraged them.
General Manager, Mr. Basel Talal also thanked all staff involved. "Safety is a top priority at Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah and health and safety training programs such as this are regularly conducted for staffs to ensure a high knowledge of excellent safety skills and most importantly, in providing good quality service to our guests," he added.

Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah opened on January 20, 1982 in presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan and the hotel’s owner Mr. Mubarak Al Hasawi. Originally called Sharjah Continental, it became a Holiday Inn in 1996 and proudly joined the Radisson SAS family in Nov 2002. Since becoming a Radisson Resort the hotel has undergone major renovations throughout the hotel and beach areas and now shines in a unique contemporary resort look topped off with a touch of Arabian Heritage. As of April 15, 2009 the hotel was rechristened Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah.
