INSCOL: GlobalNurse4U, Chandigarh launches workshop for New Nurse Graduates

GlobalNurse4U, an initiative by INSCOL Academy, is one of the pioneer organizations in India working exclusively for continuing nursing education and has developed multiple educational modules and simulation based trainings for upgrading knowledge and enhancing clinical skills of Indian Nurses.
The mission of GlobalNurse4U is to elevate frontline nursing by imparting the Global Best Practices to Indian Nurses.
GlobalNurse4U (GN4U), Chandigarh launched a 5-Day workshop for new nurse graduates on 26th July 2013. Due to the increasing number of disease and trauma cases the demand of skilled and knowledgeable nurses has increased simultaneously.
The workshop aimed at orienting the new nurse graduates to deliver care with commitment, compassion, and knowledge; communicate effectively and therapeutically with patients. The team of experienced and competent instructors developed modules ranging from basic nursing procedures to advanced nursing skills like airway management and IV therapy on which the new graduates were trained.
The GN4U team surveyed colleges and hospitals across India and identified key skills that a new graduate must have before joining the mainstream healthcare delivery system. The 5-day workshop is enabled new nurse graduates imbibe and practice core nursing skills and develop their soft skills in a simulated and safe environment. Discussions and debrief sessions were conducted with focus on each individual participant. The successful participants of the 5-day workshop will also be given placement assistance in hospitals in Punjab, Haryana and New Delhi.
The 5-day workshop (Global Best Practices for Front-Line Nurse, had participants from various prestigious colleges of Haryana (MMU College of Nursing , Mullana), Punjab (Mac Robert School of Nursing, Public Khalsa College of Nursing, Punjab National College of Nursing, Bengal Institute of Nursing, Desh Bhagat College of Nursing ) and Himachal Pradesh (MLM College of Nursing, Solan) to name a few. Participants who successfully completed the program were awarded Certificates by GlobalNurse4U.
The 5-day program has enabled more than 100 new nurse graduates to join the mainstream healthcare delivery system with confidence and poise In the second phase of Global Best Practices for Front-Line Nurse workshop GN4U plans to train 3000 new nurse graduates by the end of this year across India with the aim of empowering the Indian nurses with global practices and improving the healthcare delivery for the benefit of the society.

INSCOL Academy provides overseas nursing programs for postgraduate nurses, to upgrade their knowledge, skills and be able to face the challenges of working in international healthcare facilities.
