New Cutting Edge Textile Testing Laboratory in Madagascar
New State-of-the-Art Textile Testing Laboratory
The new capacity and testing capabilities of the SGS Madagascar laboratory serve the country's ever expanding textile industry by providing valuable and rapid testing services to local textile and garment manufacturers wishing to comply with international regulations and requirements. In addition to testing services (http://www.sgs.com/en/Consumer-Goods-Retail/Softlines-and-Accessories/Bags-and-Accessories/Testing.aspx), quality inspection, compliance audits, factory assessment and loading supervision make SGS Madagascar a one-stop service provider for the country's textile industry.
A Testing Laboratory for Improved Capabilities
Pascal Bezençon, Managing Director of SGS Madagascar remarked, “With the establishment of the textile laboratory, the Madagascar textile industry benefits from the increase support from the local technical expertise, shortening of testing turnaround time and reduction of cost. This will thus increase the confidence of the international buyers. Furthermore, in line with SGS direction, the company will further serve the textile industry by expanding its testing capability in the near future.”
This new laboratory and facility will add new capabilities and capacities to the ever expanding SGS Indian Ocean/Africa network, as well as increasing the geographical footprint of the Global Softlines network.
