Incathlab - the first medical e-Learning Channel on the Internet
Starting in 2010, Incathlab well-evolved while offering more than 400 videos as well as 20 broadcasted live sessions a year. In 2012, Incathlab registered more than 90.000 visitors and followers looking at a growing community improving and exchanging knowledge as well as an increasing amount of broadcasted live sessions from and to conferences Europe-wide.Dedicated to the broad field of interventional cardiology and radiology, Incathlab is a e-learning platform free of charge providing expertise on the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular and structural heart diseases.
Especially in times of evolving technological advances, physicians and operators are requested to keep track on the continuous technological input and to avoid pausing on the outdated standard. Exchanging and improving knowledge on conferences or through further educational trainings in times of the internet is not sufficient anymore.
Driven by the need for an online platform to share and exchange expertise, Incathlab enables physicians and operators to improve their knowledge and skills from anywhere at any time. Enabled by an extraordinary modern HD streaming technology, the medical e-learning platform comes alive offering a multidisciplinary alternative to improve skills and exchange expertise in the cardiovascular field such as coronary, endovascular, valvular, CRM as well as imaging. Incathlab is a vivid tool that enables access to a wide range of practical videos and broadcasted live operations. It is designed for interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and their technical staff.
With Incathlab, complicated cardiovascular cases become accessible. Members are invited to enjoy a great selection of medical video cases, in which international experts give recommendations on the precise use of medical devices and assessment of immediate results to better respond to complicated situations. Here, followers can learn from basic to complicated case studies, from the selection of the patient to its adequate preparation, provided by fully edited HD videos through State-of-the-Art technology and enabled by a professional Audio-Visual team. Incathlab opens up a pathway to refine techniques achieved on a collaborative platform through immediate interaction with experts during live sessions by taking part in live chats or to assess their knowledge in quizzes.
Already in the first half of 2013, Incathlab broadcasted eight live sessions and published further 30 videos via the website. Within the next months, Incathlab members are invited to follow further five live sessions and video publications. In total more than 15 Web Symposia and more than 20 recorded sessions are being planned to be accessible to the Incathlab Community.
A previously launched session during the MEET Kongresses 2013 in Rom can be watched here.
